Model United nations
The Model United Nations is an amazing journey on which students embark, agreeing to work hard enough for several
weeks, preparing themselves for an unforgettable conference where their goal is to not only defend the values and
principles of the country they represent, but also its position regarding a certain topic.
Roleplay, public speaking, researching and leadership are some of the multiple skills you’ll perfect standing in front of a
whole committee. The most difficult part is roleplay. Defending the position of your country, which the delegate himself
doesn’t always personally support, is not the easiest thing to do.
We both participated in the BHSMUN conference last year, and are going to take part in the GCLAUMUN conference in
March this year.
The BHSMUN conference was an amazing experience that taught us life skills, patience, perseverance, ambition and
humility. It also gave us the opportunity to meet unforgettable people.
We strongly urge anyone interested in world politics, international affairs, debating and leadership to participate in as
many MUN conferences as possible. The next MUN conference is MUNJAMHOUR, taking place towards the end of this
academic year, as well as the BHSMUN conference and many more!
