Learn journalism from working reporters this summer, without leaving home !

Boston University presents a virtual classroom experience for high school students interested in journalism, writing or photography.

The Boston University Summer Journalism Academy gives students, ages 14 to 18, the opportunity to expand their skills and prepare for college during a time of uncertainly and limited travels due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The two-week sessions will begin on June 21, July 5, and July 19, 2021. Students have the option of choosing the session(s) they would like to attend.

Each instructor is a working journalist, so what’s taught is grounded in real-life experience. Each lesson is followed by a practical application, by giving students reporting assignments they can do from home. Each day is a sample of life as a news reporter.

To learn more, visit Boston University website. We accept applications on a rolling basis, and recommendation letters are optional. The final deadline to apply is June 1, 2021.
